A R Diesels is committed to protecting your privacy when you use our services.  The Privacy Notice below explains how we use information about you and how we protect your privacy.

What we hold and why

The information you provide (personal information such as name, address, email address, phone number, organisation, vehicle registration numbers, business VAT number) will be processed and only for the purposes of maintaining our trading relationship and general business communication such as sending out invoices, invoice queries, remittance advices, MOT reminders and other occasional emails.  As we pay most of our supplies by bank transfer we also hold all Company bank details, including account numbers, payment history etc.   We DO NOT store customer payment details.

Our Right to Process Information

We have a lawful basis to process your data under General Data Protection Regulations Article 6 (1) (b) (c) and (f)

Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract

  • Legal obligation: the processing is necessary for us to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).
  • Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for our legitimate interest or the legitimate interests of a third party unless there is a good reason to protect your personal data which overrides those legitimate interests.

Who we will share your information with

In some cases, we may also need to pass your information on to one or more other parties to help us work on your vehicles, carry out warranty work & comply with legislation.  When personal details need to be shared, we will do so only for the purpose of them supplying a service to us and only when we are happy that your data is secure.   A R Diesels Ltd will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.  We do not use data profiling.

Information Security

A R Diesels Ltd has a duty to ensure the security of personal data. We make sure that your information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, manipulation, falsification, destruction or unauthorised disclosure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We will only keep your data for the purpose it was collected for and only for as long as is necessary. After which it will be deleted. (You may request the deletion of your data held by A R Diesels Ltd at any time).

Your rights

You have various rights under the GDPR:

  • To object to an aspect of processing;
  • To ask us to correct your data;
  • To ask us to erase your data;
  • To request a copy of your data.

Cookies

Like most websites, ardiesels.co.uk uses cookies to collect information.  Cookies are bits of information which your computer or other device (such as smart phones or tablets) remembers as you browse websites.  We use cookies to remember when we last saw your use of our website and which pages you visit.  Read our cookie policy.

Website statistics

When someone visits ardiesels.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Access to your personal information

 How we use cookies

A cookie is a named value, a single piece of information, which we ask your web browser to hold for us.  If you allow your browser to accept cookies, the name and value will be sent back to us whenever you visit a page.  Cookies allow websites to respond to you as an individual.  The website can tailor its operations to you.

We use the Google Analytics system to examine our website's traffic. Google will register some cookies with your browser.  Google Analytics provides us with aggregated statistics of how our website is used.  It is not possible for us to identify individuals from the data Google provides.

At the time of writing Google set these cookies – __utma, __utmb, __utmc, __utmt, __utmv and __utmz they are set just for our domain but Google sets them and the names may change.  If you don't delete them they will stay on your device for up to two years.  If you are concerned, clear you cache or block them.  These cookies are not necessary for the operations of our website.
